My college daughter will be working on a project in Hong Kong for 8 weeks.  She will be living in an apartment in the Tai Kok Tsui district of Kowloon and working on Hong Kong Island.  She has no idea where she can buy GF food, what restaurants she can eat in, and what food cautions she should be aware of (other than the obvious).  I would appreciate any information you may have that might be helpful to her.  I have searched the internet and have not found very much on this topic.  So if you know of any celiac societies in Hong Kong or China or any other sites that could point in the right direction, it would really help us.

In early March, both of us will tour Beijing for a week.  We are staying at the Peninsula Hotel near the Forbidden City.  We would also appreciate any information you may have on restaurants and eating in Beijing.

I will summarize the responses and will also summarize our trip in March when we return.
