The next meeting of the Whidbey Island Gluten Intolerance Group is on
Saturday, January 17, 2009.
Location: Living Green Natural Food & Apothecary, 630 2nd Street, Langley,
WA
Time: 11:00AM

The new owner, Juli, is now selling gluten-free flours and grains in bulk,
as well as supplements and food items. Her cafe will have salad, soup, GF
wraps and smoothies for those who wish to order.

Information from the new book, "The Gluten Connection -- How Gluten
Sensitivity may be Sabotaging Your Health and What You Can Do to Take
Control Now" by Shari Lieberman, PhD will be discussed. Dr. Lieberman has
been in private practice in clinical nutrition for more than 30 years.
Discussion will include Dr. Lieberman's recommendations for dietary changes
including foods that often cause auto-immune reactions, as well as her
recommendations for dietary supplements, including enzymes, vitamins and
minerals, microorganisms, and anti-inflammatory.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Coyla Shepard at
360-321-4083. Let's all make an effort to attend to show Juli our support!
We look forward to seeing you there!

Attendance at events has been minimal despite efforts to rotate days of the
week and times of each event. Please watch for a survey coming to you via
email sometime this month to give us feedback about the group.
