Hello Everyone,
The following is a brief description of HS from the HS Foundation website.
http://www.hs-foundation.org/

"HS is an inflammatory skin disease that affects an estimated 1% of the
population. The main features of HS include painful and chronically recurring,
deep-seated follicular nodules, papules, pustules and abscesses, scarring,
sinus tracts and recurrent discharge. The areas most commonly affected are
under the arms, groin, buttocks, and under the breasts. The disease is
variable and recurrent. It may present with solitary or multiple lesions in one
area, with lesions in many areas, or in more severe cases may have large
areas of skin affected by recurrent, draining lesions that are very difficult to
heal."

I am doing some research with people that have HS and go on a gluten
free/dairy free diet and reach remission for their HS. Some people have what
they might call boils but have not gotten a diagnosis of HS.

I would like to communicate with anyone that has this condition. If you have
this condition, or had it before you went on the gluten free diet, or if anyone
in your family has this condition, or if any of your friends have it, I would
appreciate it if you would give them my email address and ask them if they
would email me.

The few people that I am talking to now with HS have other autoimmune
illnesses that are all associated with gluten intolerance/celiac.

Here is the link to a thread that I have on the Gluten Free and Beyond Forum.

Here is the link to a thread that I have on the Gluten Intolerance/Celiac forum
on Brain Talk. http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=13543

Thank You for any information.
Sincerely
Jeanne Webb
