A member of my group sent me this email. She did not mention the words
gluten-free being anywhere on the label, yet there is an omission of an
ingredient.
Just wondering what you think. I decided to put this out there for
answers. Below is her email to me:
I went to Miles Farmers Market yesterday and bought a soup mix with beans
that stated it uses all natural/no preservatives. I looked over the
ingredients and it said: beans, spices, and salt...something simple. When I
started soaking the beans I thought I saw barley. I cooked it and ate a
little, but thought I should contact the company, and sure enough there is
barley in the mix, without it being in the ingredients! Can't believe it..that
is i BIG nono. I let them know how wrong they were. They gave me a list
of their gluten free soups...but that does not help with the mislabeling!!
Who should know about this????
Thanks,
Bev
