Hi all,

The King George (VA) Celiac and Gluten Intolerance Support Group will
have a table at the grand opening of the King George Farmers Market on
Saturday, June 27. The grand opening event is also a community
appreciation day. It will be held from 10 am to noon. As part of the
presentations given, Leader, Shirley Braden, will also be speaking for
30 minutes about celiac/gluten intolerance and the gluten-free diet.
Information packets will be available for all interested attendees.
Homemade gluten-free goodies (in individual packages) will be
available for sale by the local 4-H group (which includes some of our
support group members). Many other activities/demos will be part of
this special day, such as, pottery; butter making; antique tractors;
chair caning; face painting; fire and rescue personnel and equipment;
sheriff's dept personnel and equipment; and a basket walk (think "cake
walk" with baskets of fresh veggies and goodies made from fresh
veggies).
