My daughter has celiac and is starting first grade. Last year she was only in
class for three hours and lunch was served at her desk from her lunch box.
My school orders out for lunches from local restaurants because we dont have
a kitchen only a cafeteria for sitting. I dont know what I should add or what
to expect the school to do. If they are ordering a hot lunch for others are
they suppose to give her an option too or no. Also there is a girl in her class
with a nut allergy so they asked that no one in her class bring snacks in that
contain that. But their giving me a little problem having her class changed
because my daughter does not eat alot, and options are already limited for
sending to school ,so peanut butter works good with crackers or pretzels
(gluten free). DFoes she have just as much rights as the peanut allergy or
no. Or where can I go to find out more. Thanks for any input.
