Don't miss "A Taste of Celiac"

A Family Event - Sunday, March 2, 2008 2-4:30 PM @ St. Paul's Episcopal
Church Wallingford. No RSVP necessary. Cost is $2.00 per adult, and $1.00
per child, through high school, to attend this event. 

The Greater New Haven Celiac Group, CT invites you to attend "A Taste of
Celiac" - an afternoon of Fun, Family Workshops and an opportunity to taste
Gluten-Free treats and test GF products.

The fun includes: Cartoonist, George Wildman, famous for the Popeye Cartoons
you have seen in many newspapers, will entertain us with his many talents. A
few lucky people may get a signed cartoon to take home. Face Painting for
the kids! Alyssa Mommsen will be on hand to draw some of your favorite
animals or characters.

Gluten-Free Tasting offers you an opportunity to try before you buy! Cindy
Turner from CakeWorks in Hamden will teach us how to use candy molds to make
our own gluten free chocolate treats. She will have molds and chocolate
ready for everyone to try their hand at this fun project. Paul Graven from
Gluten Free Naturals will be making pancakes for everyone to sample. In
addition he will have tasting of his other products: cookies, muffins etc.
Patricia Williams from Patricia's Pizza & More will be serving sample slices
of her delicious, gluten free pizza, Italian bread and stuffed breads.
Pamela's Gluten Free Products (famous for their cookies) will have a
representative demonstrating how to frost and decorate cupcakes made with
Pamela's new cake and frosting mixes. This will be a "hands on" workshop.
Quinoa Gold will share samples of their new energy drinks that have no
caffeine but lots of health benefits. Kelly Plunkett, with Arbonne
International a natural cosmetic and skin care company, will have a table
set up with samples and will give a demonstration of the products. 

We have added two vendors: John DePuma, owner of DePuma's Gluten-Free Pasta,
produces a line of filled GF Pasta available online. He will be preparing
samples and have frozen pasta available for purchase. Kim Snow, owner of
Aleia's Resturant in Old Saybrook, will be introducing her line of products
and talking about the restaurant which delicious GF cuisine (and non-GF as
well).

All vendors will offer products for sale.  Please have cash or checks
available if you wish to make any purchases.

Wallingford: (Parking may be found in the lot directly behind the Church.)
Traveling on I-91
From the North-Take Exit 14, turn right onto Center Street. Go Straight to
the fifth light at Center and Main Street. Turn right onto North Main
Street. Go one short block, St. Paul's is on the right.
From the South -Take Exit 14 (Woodhouse Avenue). Turn left and continue to
second light. Turn left onto Center Street. Go to fourth light at Center and
Main Street. Turn right onto North Main Street. Go one short block, St.
Paul's is on the right.
Traveling on the Wilbur Cross Parkway-Rte 15
From the North -Take Exit 64. Turn right. Go under the underpass and follow
Quinnipiac Street (bear left at the fork) over the railroad tracks, up the
hill to Center and Main Streets. Turn left onto North Main Street. Go one
short block, St. Paul's is on the right.
From the South -Take Exit 64. Turn right. Follow Quinnipiac Street (bear
left at the fork) over the railroad tracks, up the hill to Center and Main
Street. Turn left onto North Main Street. Go one short block, St. Paul's is
on the right.
