Thanks for all of the great responses. Many sent recipes that I will
set aside for future use. We needed instant for a camping trip so here
is a summary of the instants.
The instants I hear about were:
Nestle - says GF right on label
Swiss Miss - Con Agra will list any gluten, also confirmed GF at website
Stephen's Gourmet - says GF on label, found at Sam's Club
Dagoba - says GF on label, found at Whole Foods
Carnation - no note as to how the person confirmed GF status
Ghirardelli - no note as to how the person confirmed GF status
Scharffenberger - no note as to how the person confirmed GF status
I also got a great recipe for making your own instant:
Hot Cocoa Mix
3 1/2 cups nonfat dry milk powder
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/2 cup sifted unsweetened cocoa powder (Dutch chocolate is best)
Mix together and store in an airtight container.
In a mug of hot water add 2-3 heaping tablespoons full of mix and stir.
Thanks to everyone who responded.
