I just wanted to share some facts:
According to the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and the USDA
Handbook #8:
goat's milk has lactose as its carbohydrate source.
20% of goat milk calories are from protein (cow milk is also 20%). It's
protein composition is 83% casein and 17 % whey, which is very similar to
cow's milk (approx. 80/20). Goat proteins are very "similar to cow proteins
and cause identical allergic reactions".
The main difference is in the fat content. Goat's milk has smaller fat
globules, and for this reason is touted to be more easily digestible.
It appears that goat's milk should be avoided by those with milk allergies.
