The most common response was to avoid the artificial crab / lobster meat as
it usually contains wheat.
Other Items to Note:
Avoid the cooked / marinated fish such as eel
Avoid Tokio (orange flying fish egg roe) as it is made with wheat
Check on sauces such as those for spicy rolls as many times they will add
wheat
Be careful of Miso soup as some contain barley
Info was mixed on wasabi. Many noted they eat it with no problem while
others avoided it
Ask about seasoning added to the sushi rice as some of the broths may have
wheat
Also take into account Asian rice vinegar is non-distilled and have some
wheat.
Other Notes of Interest:
Ask to have meal made separate and to use fresh gloves
Everyone who commented stated they had good experiences and if they followed
the rules had no adverse effects.
