OK, this is a little embarrassing to put out there, but I really
would like to know.
Whenever I get an accidental contamination or have a reaction to
another food (I have a fair amount of food intolerance's), one of the
symptoms that sets in within a few hours is significant rectal pain/
pressure that radiates up around the rectal/colon area about the size
of a baseball and increases with intensity lasting many hours to a
day. Aside from the bloating, brain fog, fatigue and achiness that
comes on with exposures, this rectal thing is very bothersome, aka a
'pain in the a#$"
I've gone to a GI doc at a good hospital (Thomas Jefferson
University), had a Colonoscopy and they didn't find hemorrhoids which
seemed like a semi-obvious thing to look for, although strange that
it comes along with exposures.
I do have endometriosis and during a laporoscopy 7.5 years ago they
did find some on my utereosacral ligament (connects uterus to
sacrum). Moving bowls can be painful around ovulation and just
before cycle begins, as everything is a little swollen and tender. I
don't know if this could be the culprit and if so why it's so intense
if accidentally contaminated.
I don't want to overlook anything..however don't want to be paranoid
either. I'm 35, went 15 years undiagnosed, always symptomatic,
however went 'full blown' with incapacitating symptoms after getting
a 3-wk flu with a death in the family at the same time. Just prior
to the illness, I'd been on a 5 month intense candida program to
eliminate yeast overgrowth which I had a horrendous time with in
terms of die off. I don't believe the yeast is gone, but could no
longer keep making myself so ill when I had a little boy who was sick
and my husband was (and is) beyond drained. Detoxifying was and still
is and issue.
I apologize if there's too much detail, I just need to get this
figured out and thought the additional info may be relevant.
If I found out others had this same symptom, it may put my mind at ease.
I'm also open to any other thoughts or suggestions about this
Thanks so much,
Sherri from NJ (again today)
