<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>>
The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Program has a new section on
its website www.celiacdisease.net , developed by sophomore pre-med
student and summer intern Elaina DiOrio, called "Celiac Disease 101:
Your Life as a Gluten-Free College Student."
The aim of this new section is to provide parents and students with
resources and information about preparing for and live a gluten-free
life in college, from the perspective of a student with celiac disease
who struggles with these same questions and concerns. The section asks
for feedback in order to facilitate an exchange of information and
practical ideas that have worked for families with college students in a
variety of situations. Elaina's perspective, and her hard work in
putting together this information is a great foundation for capturing
the best ideas that have worked for others and we'll post all of this
information on the site as well.
We hope you'll find this new information, along with the other areas of
our site, our fact sheets, the new ACDA survey on insurance coverage for
dietitian services, and other resources to be of interest to you. We're
interested in your feedback and look forward to your visit to our site!
