Dear Celiac List mates,
I found out when I took my blood tests that I have a severe Vitamin D
deficiency. I am a very allergic person. I tried Cod Liver Oil, Vit D3 Tablets,
one made with fish oil, one with sheep's wool (lanolin). All upset my
stomach. I do manage to sit in the sun for 15 to 20 minutes since I learned about
this but it is not enough. Out of 80, I have a 12. I can't eat dairy but I do
eat all the other foods that contain Vit D. I have researched this thoroughly.
I cannot eat too much soy because of the estrogen in it. (my type of cancer
thrives on estrogen) There is a dry Vit D but I can't seem to get information
on what it is derived from. Does anyone have this same condition and is it
possible to get Vit D injections, what kind of doctor would take care of this?
All of my doctors are stumped, my breast surgeon, my oncologist, my family
doctor. I did buy Vit D today from Country Life. Can't get any information
from them either as to the derivative of their Vit D.
Any help would be appreciated. Please do not flame me as I can't tolerate a
lot of foods from my leaky gut syndrome. I'm doing the best I can with what I
have.
Thanks in advance.
