I don't find this to be cheery news.

So Mayo Clinic researchers found a link between celiac disease and dementia "or other forms of cognitive decline." Theories to explain the link include nutritional deficiency and an immune attack on the brain. The irony of it all. For apparently, gluten withdrawal helps reverse the decline.
But the article discusses how important "a confirmed diagnosis" of celiac disease is before anyone starts on the gluten-free diet.
Wouldn't it be nice if getting a for-sure diagnosis was a bit easier and, well, more confirmable? Round and round we go.
