Dear Friends,
I'm finally getting around to summarizing the responses to my report
that I had a serious reaction to the acacia powder from "Heather's
tummy fibres"
Most significant for me was that one person with celiac takes acacia
with no problems - finds it helpful, which means that I must have a
separate sensitivity.
Another post suggested that, since acacia is a gum, I may be sensitive
to other gums - such as xantham and I think that is the case because
I did have a
reaction to some chocolate sauce which had xantham gum I will definitely be
on the lookout for all gums in future.
Someone also suggested I might be sensitive to nuts and soy but
thanfully I have no problems with them.
Many thanks for the helpful responses! Healthy New Year to all!
