Lots of list members have asked me for the article on the AMJ publication about the methylphenidate study. Since so many of tham are also thyroid patients, I'd like to suggest another helpful article on the subject. I just learned about it yesterday, its also about cognitive dysfunction but it's due to what is called "Hashimoto's Encephalopathy." Don't write yourself out of the picture if you have Graves' disease...you likely also have the anti-TPO antibodies that are prevalent in Hashimoto's disease. There is treatment available, but with risks. I guess it would depend on how dysfunctional you are willing to be.
You can find the study at www.thyroid-info.com/helpsfaq.htm
or email me, I'll send you the article on an attachment en toto.
