I only got 2 replies about Gastroview so I guess not many people take it.
#1. I did drink the Gastroview made by the Mallinckrodt company a couple
months ago for an abdominal CT. But, it was a white liquid that was not too
thick. They told me it was easier to drink it cold, so refrigerate it. (I had
to drink 1/2 of this bottle the night before the CT, then the other half in
the morning--then they have you drink 2 full cups of something different when
you get to the hospital--depending on the time of day of the CT). I didn't
have any problems with it at all, except for having lighter colored b.m.'s for a
couple days.
recall. I found the company easily by searching on the web. Then, you can
find the distributor for your area.
The hospital where I take my ct scans gives it to you an hour before the
scan. I don't know if this is the same stuff not Gastrograffin because when I
called, they told me the "stuff" was red and bubbly.
#2. Yup, it's GF, and yup, it's evil stuff. Tastes disgusting and makes
even the healthiest people crampy, gassy, and "loose". Then they make ya drink
MORE at the XRay department!
