I'm new to this posting, and the last time I had a bit of trouble so I'll try one more time. I'm in need of advice and this seems like the place to find it. I was diagnosed with cd in September by biopsy after having symptoms since April. I feel very fortunate that it was that quick after all the horror stories I have read on this list. Before experiencing these symptoms I was always very healthy, only seeing a doctor once a year for the annual checkup and the occasional respiratory infection requiring anitbiotics. I have a daughter with Type I diabetes and my sister has been diagnosed with RA, so I'm pretty sure it's in the genes.

Lately, I have been experiencing a lot of joint pain when I go to bed and usually have to take a pain reliever in order to get to sleep. I'm wondering if that's part of celiac or maybe symptomatic of something I should check out with the doctor. I do hate to run off to the the doctor with every ache and pain and am wondering if I'm just a little paranoid with the whole celiac thing. The sysmptoms I did have (pain and diareah) are pretty much gone with the diet.

If this message gets through intact, thanks in advance for any advice.

Marilyn in Iowa
