Wow, the responses were overwhelming. Thanks for all who sent their
thoughts! Here's the summary: (if I receive other thoughts I'll summarize
a 2nd time)

-3 said Bob's bean flour ingredients(garbanzo & fava) caused gas,
bloating, stomach ache & diarrhea
-3 said that Xantham & Guar gum have similar effects on them (1 person
listed Bette Hagman's 1st book as reference for info on Guar gum)
-4 said Xantham gum makes them ill
-3 said Guar gum makes them ill
-1 had no problem with Guar gum
-2 had no problem with Xanthan gum
-1 said they can only use 1/2 the recommended portions when using bean
flour
-2 will not buy Bob's again; it made them sick
-3 can't eat bean flour at all
-1 substituted corn syrup for Xantham g
um & it worked okay
-1 only uses Kinnikinick flour with no reaction
-2 said Xantham is corn-derived and are sensitive to corn
-1 noted Bob's products are made in a non-GF environment(contamination
risk)
-1 added that the banana bread recipe(on Bob's AP flour package) calls for
nuts & they can't tolerate nuts
-1 mentioned Sorghum flour can cause a reaction if too much is consumed
-1 mentioned that NOW brand of Xantham & Guar gum are safe
-1 noted a family member with a banana allergy
-1 said they suspect a Fava flour sensitivity
-1 emailed that Bob's Bread mix made them sick also
-1 stated that Guar gum isn't a laxative because it's the main ingredient
in "Benefiber" which helps bulk up stool
-1 suggested asking the Delphi CD forum about this issue
