Almost everyone responded back indicating Flu Shots are GF. They do have eggs in them so if you are
sensitive to those, be warned!
Many said anything that is injectable does not have gluten in it. It also shouldn't matter anyway because
it doesn't go through digestive track.
Many had gotten them for years with no reactions. MANY people said their dr's highly recommended them to
Celiacs. One person warned me against the dangers of flu shots due to a relative who was permanently disabled
by one.
Another person had the following to say about Thimerosol:
They are gluten-free, but my objection was that they contain Thimerosol as
a preservative. Not good for people with autoimmune disorders.
Fortunately, the place providing the flu shots at this particular store
is using
American-made vaccine, not the British vaccine that has a lot of
Thimerosol.
It is made by Venice Pasteur, and only has trace amounts of Thimerosol.
Pediatric vaccines can be ordered by family doctors, and they can order a
peditric vaccine that only has trace amounts of Thimerosol.
Thanks,
Judy
