SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR "EXISTING LISTS" FROM LISTMATES:
*The Celiac Support Group for Children & Adults Too is the one who put out the Halloween Candy list. Their address is: 11 Level Acres Road, Attleboro, MA 02703
It was Volume 8, Number 4 from October 2002.
*Try this list for starters: http://celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=273&p_catid=19&sid=84X6ej0-xFAWAF5-44104149157.1c This is the Celiac.com listing for GF mainstream products, in case the link doesn't work. The list, obviously, won't be 100% accurate -- label reading still required, as always! -- but I've had good success using it with my daughter
*I think CSA has some Halloween candy in its product listing guide
*One member thought the The Minnesota ROCK Chapter has a list
OTHER ALTERNATIVE SUGGESTIONS FROM LISTMATES:
Altho I am not writing to recommend any candies, I am writing about the whole issue of Halloween and candy. For many years, I have rebelled against passing out candy on Halloween and instead have gotten little party favor types of toys - tops and cars and balls and bubbles for little kids, whistles and little games and toys for older kids - and they all love it. Now that I am aware I have Celiac disease, I think I feel even more strongly about this. Just wanted to share
OTHER COMMENTS FROM LISTMATES:
*No Brach candy is gluten free.
*What about Kraft candies?
*I think the Lifesavers are okay including the gummi typ
*Beware of candy that is not in it's "typical" shape
