Thank you to each and everyone of you who responded. I was shocked at the
number of responses I received within 24 hours of posting.

It seems that there are many people who experience microscopic hematuria
frequently. A number of people experience this after ingesting gluten
unintentionally. One person stated that marathon runners frequently
experience hematuria after a race (definitely not me - LOL!).

I did receive a number of responses stating that hematuria is a symptom of
bladder cancer, chronic kidney failure, and IgA Nephropathy.

Other members responded saying they have been dealing with hematuria for
years, have seen a Urologist/Nephrologist, have undergone multiple tests
(including cystoscopy, IVP, CT scans, etc), but still have yet t
o receive a
definitive diagnosis. One person did state that a swollen kidney was
discovered, and another had a fatty tumor on their kidney.

The general consensus is that I need to see a Urologist or possibly a
Nephrologist, and I completely agree - particularly given the fact that I
am not dealing with microscopic hematuria.

Thank you again to all of you for your help and support.
Barbara
