Hi!

My names Rachel and I’ve been wondering about celiacs disease. This is the
first time I’ve posted to the listserv so I hope I’ve done it all correctly!
The reason being is my daughter has symptoms of celiacs, such as bloated
tummy, extreme changes in bowel movements, aching muscles etc. I always
wondered whether she has IBS but recently the paediatrician suggested a
wheat intolerance. Anyway we went off wheat Deborah and I for a week and I
started to read about celiacs and thought maybe I have it too, I have aching
muscles, changes in bowel movement, bloating, stomach cramps, fatigue and
generally not feeling real well. Originally they diagnosed me with a having
diverticulitis and then after a colonoscopy found a growth and just told me
I have IBS. Anyway my daughter and I both went off the wheat thing and have
had bread etc and now we both feel really ill.

Is it a co incidence??? Or should I consider testing? My daughter’s
paediatrician has sent a stool sample to the lab so we should get some
results back this week. What do you think??

Oh and nice to meet you all :-)
