Many thanks to all who responded to my inquiry about multivitamins & homeopathic remedies for sinus relief. Your responses are most helpful and I'm trying to decide which vitamin to begin with. Here is the summary of the responses:

dr. ron schmidt makes the best vitamins - www.drrons.com they have no additives whatsover and they're great!

We use the powdered nutritional supplements from Environmed Research in Canada. Their website is www.alphanutrition.com. Their's are the only multiple vitamin/mineral supplement that I have been able to find that we can take successfully without some kind of reaction (we are also gluten, casein and soy free, as well as egg, corn, and a few other things). We use their DMX, PMX, AAX and OMX formulas with great results.

Twin Labs multi-vitamins are gf, and I believe dairy- and soy-free, as well.

I'd stay away from homeopathic "remedies". They are based on voodoo, and not science.

GNC (General Nutrition Corporation) a national health/vitamin food store carries Ultra Mega vitamins. it says right on the box : No Artificial flavors, No preservatives, Sodium Free, No Wheat, No gluten, No dairy, Yeast free. It does not say anything about soy. For more information you can call 1-8880462-2548 or visit their web site at www.gnc.com. I take the
women's ultra mega vitamins with iron. They are time released and a very good vitamin.

My son and I use a medicine called BHI for homepanthy sinus. This is used for Sinusitis &Rhinrtis, Nasal Congestion, Sinus Pressure & Headache, Sneezing & Runny Nose. We have used this for a cold/sinus infection for 4 years. It keeps us out of the doctors office that's for sure. It's completely safe if you have mutipable allergies and can take with other medicines. This also comes in Bronchitits and if you have a cough that works well. It keeps your chest from tighting up and out of the doctors office again.
About vitiamins: I use a muti vitiamin for women that is everything free from Therpetic Enyeme. My son takes Liquid Centrum. WE have not had any problems with these vitamins in 4 years.

Check with GlutenFreeda.com. I am gluten, dairy, egg, and iodine free, and I buy just the vitamins because of the iodine issue, then add Caltrate 600+ and Potassium Gluconate to help fill out my mineral needs.

my sinuses do better when I take timed release Vitamin C. Seems to shrink the tissues. Consuming nitrates/nitrites makes them worse.

I think Freeda Vitamins are GF, DF and SF. Freeda is based in NY They have a web site, I do not have the number with me right now, but if you look them up on the web, you should be able to pull it up.

It (homeopathic) worked great on my sinuses. Unfortunately, something in it gave me symptoms similar to those when I ate gluten. After ruling out many things (including wheat binding the pills together and other things) my herbalist determined that the problem was the Biond Magnolia Flower. So I took a formula that didn't have that in it. But it didn't do anywhere near as good a job with my sinuses.

i posted a few days ago on multi i've been using for a year that I really like. It's called Natrol My Favorite Multiple Original and comes in iron (original) and no iron ('no iron':) formulas and both come in tablets (4/day) or caps (6/day).

Kali Bich for sinus congestion,Mixed allergens from Homeopath for my allergy to my parrot, has worked well.

all ingredients in vitamins are listed on label..by law....most comply with your needs. Usually Solgar and Twin Labs are the best brands choices

I am a Nutraceutical Anti Aging Consultant and work with some high quality dietary supplements. There is a multiviatamin/Mineral Supplement that is isotonic (meaning it is the same as the digestive juices inthe stomach and
is released to the small intestine where it is 95% absorbed. It's in powder form and a teaspoon capful is mixed with 2 ounces of water. It does have maltodextrin in it. I understand there is some debate regarding maltodextrin conatining gluten.
