I would like to hear from any listmates who might be able to offer help with an unusual symptom.
The surface of my skin becomes very painful and tender to the touch on occasion. It begins in a small area, usually on my hand or foot, and then continues until most of my arm or leg hurts. To describe the pain in more detail, it feels somewhat like a steam burn and it hurts when my clothing, such as a sleeve or pant leg, brushes against the area.
I have spoken to different physicians about this and I am advised to take pain relievers. Aspirin or other pain meds help a little, but it usually goes away on its own after a few days.
Anyone else suffer from this or have any suggestions? It seems to be getting progressively worse.
Loretta
