I have been asked for details about the experiences of list members who have described extreme villi damage to the point of total parenteral nutrition (TPN: being fed only through the veins), and those who suffered silent damage - that is, who did not have obvious symptoms but were biopsy diagnosed to have villi damage (Celiac Disease). I could not do justice to these stories with a summary, and feel that each should be posted for all to find in the archives. Perhaps fitting subject headings to group these posts would be: Damage, silent, and Damage, extreme.
Thanks to all who are able to contribute their stories.
Hilary
