Thank you for the following lactose free/gluten free suggestions!
- lactose free milk is gluten free, as are Lactaid brand chewables; Soy Silk
(plain vanilla and chocolate) is gf
- the cfgf.com website, although "overkill" as the casein restrictions are
much broader than the lactose, is full of suggestions
- many hard cheeses are lactose free, such as Cracker Barrel
- Breyers makes a lactose free vanilla, which can be topped with Hershey's
syrup; Tofutti makes fudge bars which are gf; Soy Dream flavors are all gf
except choc. fudge brownie
- Tofutti brand for a cream cheese and sour cream substitutes, and
Fleishman's unsalted for margarine
- Soymage brand makes a rice parmesan cheese substirute
- kefir is a dairy alternative which can be bought or made at home
- several recommended trying goat cheese and milk, but for kids several gave
thumbs up to the taste and calcium value of almond milk (Blue Diamond and
Pacific run were mentioned, but most brands should be gf)
- Silk Soy yogurt
- Hersheys cocoa tins haave a choc. cake recipe that rice flour, soy milk and
if necess. egg substitutes can be used. Frost with Duncan Hines Classic
Chocolate (not milk choc.) frosting
-Miss Robens website for gf, lactose free, sugar free lolipos and
chocolateemporium.com for chocolate novelites
