Thanks to all who sent suggestions for places to dine in New York that are celiac friendly. The overall winner was O'Lunnys on 151 West 46th St., between Broadway and 6th Ave. and it was easy to see why it was the favorite. I was able to get their menu online and I could make some choices ahead of time. The waitress was very helpful and spoke with the chef who was willing to make whatever adjustments necessary for GF dining. I had a delicious meal of chicken smothered in a sauce with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, olives, etc., with potatoes (I chose boiled), carrots and string beans. Everyone that was with me enjoyed their meal as well. The prices were quite reasonable.

The other suggested restaurants were Gallagher's Steak House (around 52nd Street), Blooms (near Grand Central Station), Brazil Grill (8th Ave. around 47th St.), Little Brazil (45th ST. just west of Fifth Ave) and Rice and Beans (8th Ave and 50 the St.). Other steak houses that were recommended were Sparks, Smith & Wollensky, The Post House, The Palm, Rothmans and Zagots.

Thanks again for the responses.

Doris
