Where can you find perfect 78-degree weather with a backdrop of clear, blue
skies, the magnificent Pacific Ocean, white, sandy beaches...AND everything
you've ever wanted to know about gluten-free living -- all in one? At the
Gluten-Free Living Conference September 5, 6 & 7 in San Diego, California.
Here's what Danna Korn had to say about her home town:

"Having lived in San Diego most of my life, I can assure you September is one
of the most gorgeous months in what is already a picture-perfect city.
Gluten-free dining is a treat, with even the most trendy restaurants eager to
accommodate the gluten-free diet (not to mention the fact that Southern
Californians are healthy eaters, and a lot of what's on the menu is inherently
gluten-free).
The conference includes a gluten-free reception on Friday evening,
breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. But if you
decide to arrive early or stay on for a few days, you won't have any problem eating
out. In fact, the Hilton on MIssion Bay, where the conference is being held,
is close to downtown's famous "Gaslamp" district, which offers a myriad of
dining and entertainment options.
Whether you're a longtime fan of San Diego, or a first-time visitor,
you won't be disappointed with your visit. Hope to see you in "my" hometown in
September!"

In addition to eating well, you will be able to listen to these experts:

     Alessio Fasano, MD
Co-director, Center for Celiac Research, University of Maryland

      Carol Fenster, Ph.D.,
Author and expert on cooking and baking without gluten

      Danna Korn
Mother of a celiac child and author of two books on celiac disease

    Cynthia Kupper, RD, CD
Dietitian and executive director of the Gluten Intolerance Group

     Ann Whelan
Founder and editor/publisher of Gluten-Free Living.

They will help you learn how to:

Feel at ease with the basic gluten-free diet.
Fully understand celiac disease and what it means to have it.
Confidently choose safe foods while eating an appealing, healthful diet
    Raise happy, healthy gluten-free children.
Bake delicious gluten-free breads, cakes, cookies and more.
Make sure that your prescriptions are gluten-free.
Take the gluten-free worries out of eating out. \
     And more

Here are some of the things participants in our first meeting in Philadelphia
had to say about the events in that city:

It was a great weekend. We got lots of information. The food was wonderful.
The speakers were excellent. Everything went smoothly. Thanks to all who made
the conference a success. We are looking forward to another.

Your conference has inspired me to learn all I can about celiac disease and
research underway and to address my daughter's needs for the future. This made
the meeting well worthwhile.

It was an excellent effort and could not have been better managed. From mail
registration to keeping the speakers on schedule, it went like clockwork. My
only complaint was too much great food.

The Hilton Resort at 1775 Mission Bay Dr. is located on 18 lushly landscaped
acres overlooking scenic Mission Bay, just six miles north of San Diego
International Airport. The hotel is in the center of San Diego's many exciting
attractions such as the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Old Town Historic Park and the
Marina Village Shops. Hotel reservations should be made directly with the
Hilton as soon as possible. The telephone number is: 1-800-932-3322.

The fee for the conference is $299, which includes all meals: Gluten-free
breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday and the reception on
Friday evening, with a cash bar and gluten-free hors d'oeuvres. You can

Time is short, so we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible. As the
comments above show, you'll be glad you did.

See you in San Diego!
