Here's what I learned from list folks regarding my contact with Frito Lay (FL has GF foods listed on its site, including a warning about checking labels as conditions change with new batches.):
"I'm sure Frito Lays products are as contaminated as ever. ... (recommends Utz or Wise.) I'd steer clear of them."
"I've not had problems with plain corn Doritos, but I have had some problems with Frito Lay Barbecue potato chips and Tostitos, even though all of them
are "gluten free." I surmise that enough Doritos are made that they may have a dedicated line."
"My 14 year old celiac daughter consumes Frito Lay products on a daily basis. Her blood tests and biopsies all remain normal. Their products do not contain gluten and they put in that statement to protect themselves from lawsuits."
"Frito Lay is infamous for contaminated products."
