Dear Listmates -
I took a 10-hour class at American Red Cross in nearby Merrillville,
Indiana Saturday,
and by the end of the day I was tired and hungry.
There was an Outback Steakhouse nearby, so I called over there and asked
the manager if he had the gluten-free menu on hand. He did, and offered
to assist me.
I ended up ordering the Alice Springs salad, which has chunks of chicken
in a Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese sauce, and Caesar Dressing. Since
I ordered to go, the salad dressing was in a separate container, and so
were the chicken chunks, and I had no problem.
Delicious! The dressing is very rich and full of garlic and anchovies
(and salt).
First time I've had anything from Outback since diagnosed 4 years ago.
