Below is an e-mail correspondence I just opened.
I logged on yesterday to the local newpaper's
site and got contact info for the local TV news.
I wrote them a short letter, and voila...they
want to do a story!! Ms. Barrett is asking me
for the newest relavent information, and I
haven't got it at my fingertips. Can anyone send
me good links? I can easily find the latest
story on the prevalence by Dr. Fasano, but have
erased the links I looked up concerning the new
advances.
I live in Chesapeake VA, I will tell ya'll if it
ever pans out.
Dear Kit:
Thank you. Ironically, a newsroom employee's wife
was just diagnosed with celiac sprue after losing
something like 30 pounds after she delivered her
baby.
It took the hospital and her docs a couple of
days to figure it out but gratefully, they did,
and
she's improved enormously.
Thank you for sharing your story. Perhaps I can
do a report on this with your family. A new angle
to it would be good.. I wonder if you or your
son's doctor could point me in the direction of
some
promising research. That would give it a news
angle as opposed to just another disease story. I
look forward
to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Kathryn Barrett
