According to Annette at the Consumer Relation Department of McDonald's, their French fries and hash browns will continue to be made in dedicated fryers.  They simply stated in their press release that they will use the same *kind* of oil to fry all their foods.  They never stated that they will change their food preparation methods, i.e., fry all their fried foods in all the same fryers.  I believe this needed clarification from an earlier post regarding McDonald's French fries.
