Hi To the Group,
I normally like to shop at a private butcher shop, but this past
week(weekend) I haven't had much free time and have been running around quite a bit.
I ended up shopping at Shoprite, a supermarket chain here in NJ, for
ground turkey. When I went to open the package this evening, the ingredient label
said turkey and natural flavorings. The label didn't specify which flavorings
were added to the turkey.
I was just surprised because I assumed that flavorings weren't added to
meats, like they are to other food products. In the end, I ended up making
something else. I guess I learned my lesson about being in a rush while shopping
for food.
Cheers,
