Well I just got the blood test results back for my 4 1/2 year old daughter. She tested positive. (It wasn't a total surprise). They wanted us to come in and do the endoscopy but I refuse to put my daughter through that. With a strong family history of celiac, I think that blood test is enough. When she is older and if she wants to go through that, then that will be ok. Her 8 year old brother was just diagnosed this fall with CD, so our house is pretty much gluten free anyway. I have noticed that since the whole family went gluten free at home (instead of just me), she has not complained of stomach aches. Now I just need to get my other son tested.
Now comes the question. Has anyone ever had it where two kids in the same family tested positive, but one didn't? I still plan to have him tested, but was wondering if there was any chance he would test negative.
Heidi
