Patent Application for CD Screening Test
I previously discussed the following one-step CD screening test:
http://www.coeliac.info/immunochromatographic%20assay.htm
The U.S. Patent Application Publication fully describing the CD screening
test is available online. If you install a free TIFF image viewer, you can
read and print the entire 8-page document complete with drawings and
diagrams of how the test strip works. The U.S. patent number is
20020006633, published Jan. 17, 2002. The patent can be viewed at:
http://appft1.uspto.gov/netahtml/PTO/search-bool.html
Enter "sorell" in the "Term 1" space. Select "Inventer Name" in "Field
1". Then click on "Search". When the search completes, click on the
following to view the patent:
"20020006633 Assay for anti transglutaminase antibodies detection useful in
celicac disease diagnosis"
This will give you the text-only patent description. You must click on
the "Images" button to view the diagrams, but only if you have a TIFF
viewer installed. Without a TIFF image viewer, you can only view the text
of the patent description. The following describes how to view U.S. patent
images with your browser:

I have AlternaTIFF, http://www.alternatiff.com/ , installed on my system.
Installing this and getting it to work may be tricky for those of you not
too computer-savy. You must display and print the patent documents one
page at a time using AlternaTIFF. If you have an interest in technology,
in general, it's great to have the U.S Patent Office website setup to view
complete patent descriptions and images.
