Anyone from OK. or TX know about Taco Bueno restaurants? I have been told that they add flour to their meat, and then told they do not. I can not find how to get a hold of them. I have contacted the CKE corporation but they have sold Taco Buenos, but own Hardees and Carls jr, so I asked them what their GF items are.
My family is from Oklahoma, and I love to eat Bueno. I do not want to put my daughter and I at risk by eating there if they do add stuff to their meat. That was actually my first job, and I do not remember adding anything but spices to the meat. That was long time ago (and yes, I do realize some spices are made with wheat). The Manager and I talked face to face and he is one who said that they do not add any wheat/gluten products to their meat. Also, the girl who said they did, didn't seem to get my question for the first 10 minutes, and then just said "no, their is no wheat, just flour stuff." Not to judge, but she seemed less than bright!
Anyway- I know there is on Tulsa person on the list, and I would be surprised if there were no Texans on here. Thanks,I go to Tulsa this weekend, and since Coney Islander is out of the question, I would love a Bueno fix!!
