Before anyone gets upset about his "3 fold increasein lymphoma among celiacs', it is important to note that this was not found by studying people with known celiac disease. It was found by screening for celiac, in people with known lymphoma. So that many if not most of these celiac cases were previously undiagnosed, and hence untreated, celiacs. 

Other research has suggested that most of this additional risk is washed out by putting in some years on a strict gluten free diet.
