I am responding to Michael's inquiry about the value of theCSA conference.
When I was officially rediagnosed with CD about 14 years ago, I limped along
by myself until the next October CSA conference. (My "dietitian" told
me to go
to the library and find a national celiac organization.) CSA was the one
that first responded to my inquiry.
I have attended every CSA conference since 1988, and I aways learn
something,
but nothing like the amount I learned at that first conference in Cleveland.
I can't tell you enough what a difference this conference made in my
life. I
met fine people with the same common bond and learned more about CD and
the GF diet. I became more comfortable and confident to experiment with
more GF recipes.
There's a lot of conflicting information out there about CD and products.
This conference will clarify some of these conflicts for you.
I am hosting a session for newly-diagnosed celiacs and DH'ers, so I hope
to meet you and other new List-readers then.
Sincerely,
Janet Y. Rinehart
Chairman, CSA Houston chapter
