oh, my yes. i lift this way all the time, since i lift in the mornings
before i take a shower and get dressed. and it wasn't until i broke a
couple toes last month, that i fully realized just how MUCH i depend on
those bare tootsies while i'm lifting :-)
i felt so unbalanced, i had to back off on the weight until i was able to
put a bit of body weight on my foot again.
