I was diagnosed about 10 months ago, took 5 1/2 months
to feel better, and started to go downhill again a couple
months ago. I gave up my orange juice, my cereal,
ate rice instead and was ready to eat rice and vegetables
three times a day and not a thing else when I read the posting
about Fritos having contamination. They had been my little treat after
I found I could eat them. I took them out of my diet and with no other
changes to my diet, I am restored to health after six days! I didn't
eat many, and always bought them in small bags and I realize I was
probably exposed to multiple batches. I was so discouraged and was
starting to think I had colon cancer or something. This has really
taught me to be more aware (and suspicious) of everything I eat, and to
focus on gluten as the likely problem rather than getting scared about
something else.
And I really appreciate the listserve without which I wouldn't have
figured out this simple thing for some time. It is my first post-
diagnosis gluten exposure and I can't believe I was so blind to it. thanks...
