Just my 2 cents here! I am using two different WinModems in two different computers without any problems whatsoever. One computer is a Classic P166 with 64M of Ram and WIN98 and the other is a Dell PentiumII 200 with 32M and WIn98. The question is whether it would be better to use the higher speed, higher standard modem over the other, given that it is a winmodem. When I posted this question I noted that my ISP has never connected at speeds over 28-31k. Since then I noted Juno connects at 44-45k over the same phone line. I do not know why there is this difference.
