I don't undertsand the implications of "Royal icing". I have a great recipe
for a whipped white icing using regular sugar but it uses egg whites which
is a non-starter for you. I doubt egg-replacers can be whipped, at least
based on the one I've used in the past. You could use a non-diary whip but
I don't know if cornstarch is an issue there. I don't have any Rich product
in the house to check.

I must be missing something. Icing for gingerbread houses I've seen isn't
like a whipped icing.
