Epi-pens are prescribed for severe allergic reactions that could
possibly lead to death, i.e., bee stings and peanut allergies. It is a
syringe containing epinephrine, to be injected into a person's thigh.
My son has a severe peanut allergy and when he accidentally ingests
peanuts, he vomits and swells all around the face, breaks out in hives
and goes into an asthma attack.

I can't imagine how an epi-pen could help with a gluten reaction.
