<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> i had some wonderful replies, from urls to people's personal recipes, which i will be happy to forward if anyone would like them. the urls that were suggested are: http://soar.berkeley.edu/recipes/ - has a great gluten free section http://home.sprynet.com/~bchefer/main~1.htm - has salad dressings that you can order (too bad they're not in stores!) http://geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/4003/gf-dressings.html - there is a problem on this web page, which i will explain later http://www.cook-books.com/dblogin.asp - you provide your email address and they will send you a number with which to register i was also given an address to get a comprehensive list of gluten free products, the list costs 8 dollars; i was referred to New Organics dressings which are all gluten free, but i haven't found that one in my supermarket, i'll try at whole foods; it was suggested i email Lipton and get a list of all their gf salad dressings, as well as calling wishbone's 800 number and getting a list of thiers as well. but here's a little story that just shows in graphic detail how even dieticians don't know everything: i went for supper to my father in law's a while back. he is very careful about my diet, and cooks chicken for me without any bbq sauce, and makes sure there are plenty of gf things for me to eat...he's very contientious that way. we had a salad, and i chose wishbone blue cheese for the dressing after reading the ingredients and determining it was gf. i got very, very sick that night, and was wracking my brain trying to think of *anything* i could have ingested. it was very discouraging, here my father in law went to so much trouble to ensure everything was gf for me and i got sick anyway. then i was doing research and came across this webpage: http://www.celiac.com/forbiden.html it told me in plain ol' english that the mold for blue cheese has been made with bread and is therefor NOT gluten free. and yet wishbone's dieticians state it is, as i have found it on gluten free lists elsewhere. i guess the lesson to all this is to be ever vigilant, and remember, even dieticians can be wrong...they're not the ones who are gonna be in agony if you slip up. regards, elizabeth powell
