I just put in a Memorex 2x2x24 CD-ReWritable Drive. To do this I had to move the Second HD. I bumped the memory in the process. I also diconected the SuperDisk. Controller 1 has a WesternDigital 4.1 gig and WD 5.1 gig drive. Controller 2 has the Memorex Re-Writer and a 32x cd rom. The sound card is generic with no IDE controller on it.(It has 2 Audio inputs one for Mitsumi the other for Sony,Will the Memorex work with the Sony input?) Now when I Start up the Post takes three times as long as it did before. Plus when I click the Start button then Programs only half of the list comes up, after 15 to 30 seconds the rest comes up. Question, could the memory be damaged? It counts up all the memory but it acts like it has very little installed. Everything takes longer than it did before, runs sloooooow. What else could it be? Sorry for the long message. Hope you have enough info. TIA Mark Curious about the people moderating your messages? Visit our staff web site: http://nospin.com/pc/staff.html
