I've had that same "SUWIN caused GPF..." messages on two previous occassions while doing a virgin install of Win 98 on brand-new, newly-formated HDs. In fact on another occassion I also had messages relating to True Type Fonts (TTF) causing GPF even when Windows was just still being installed, talk less of any font-containing software! Both problems disappeared when I changed the power supply of the system. To see if the power supply was really the culprit I re-introduced the original PS and the error messages resurfaced! I know conventional logic may not establish any links to the PS but that was my experience, and my decision to change the PS was purely intuitive, having no scientific basis (then) whatsoever. Try changing the power supply of the system and let's see what happens. Richard. I have a diskette with various files on it to start up along with CD-ROM drivers to run the CD. It goes through part of the setup, then the message.
