I want to back up my mail folders.

Using Outlook Express 5 (OE5) as my email client, I find that all of
my email folders take the path to \Outlook Express* (see below). I'm
not even sure if that's where they should have ended up.

C:\Windows
     \ehundrieser
      \Application Data
       \Identities
        \{16579F00-BE-83-11D2-AE58-BA36FFBE7C7C}
         \Microsoft
          \Outlook Express*

These folders were initially created in Netscape 4.5, then
exported/imported to OE5 after its release earlier this year.

Why do my folders in OE5 end in a .dbx filename? In vain, I've tried
searching for what .dbx stands for. I thought that OE5's mail folders
ended in .mbx and .idx. What happened? Did I mess up importing these
folders from Netscape, if so, do I first need the correct file
extensions to back up?

Thank you,
