<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I got the results of my endoscopy last week--specialist says I have acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome and a small hiatus hernia, but no celiac. I got copies of my reports and am concerned about the following comments Small bowel: "there is an occasional villous which appears fused and some show some blunting and stratification of the nuclei. There is some increase in lymphocytes among the epithelial cells. In these areas the stroma contains some neutrophilic and eosinophilic polymorphs as well as the usual lymphocytes and plasma cells." Now they pretty well lost me after the first sentence, but" villous which appear fused and some show some blunting" makes me think this is indeed celiac. Can anyone comment? Thanks. Carol in B.C.
