<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I was wondering whether anyone on the list had had experience in the receiving of gluten-free food in Thailand and how much tax was imposed by customs. Anything that is sent from overseas is suspect here and certainly DHL shipments are, as customs assumes you must be rich and can tax as much as 100%. Even when there isn't supposed to be a tax, 'tea money' often has to be paid. I have lived in Thailand for eight months and was previously in Hong Kong for many years so import taxes did not exist for my gluten-free food (and anyway there were health food shops in HK). I try to get friends/colleagues coming from HK to bring boxes of food, but it would be easier to be able to receive on a regular basis. I've been so busy at work, baking just hasn't been an option. I know this is a long shot, but going to the customs dept and asking is unlikely to be of any use. Deb
